The company and our employees support many programs and organizations that have lasting and positive impacts on the quality of life in our city.

These are some of the ways that we have made a difference in East Providence:

June 2014   East Providence High School -- Aspen Aerogels announces winner of the first "Technology Award" college scholarship, Daniela Costa, a graduating senior with an early acceptance from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

April 2014 East Providence High School -- Aspen Aerogels announces a new "Technology Award" college scholarship. Recognizing the importance that science and technology play in our business and the world, the company will award the annual $2,000 scholarship to a deserving student who shows advanced aptitude in science.         
February 2014 Boys & Girls Club of East Providence -- Aspen Aerogels donates 10 new computers and 3 laptops for the grand re-opening of the club's Technology Center.

"This gift from Aspen has brought new life to our tech center, particularly as they have committed to assisting us with ongoing tech support," said Erin Gilliatt, Executive Director.      
February 2014 Myron J. Francis School -- Aspen Aerogels makes a donation to the East Providence school.         
January 2014 SpeakYourMind Foundation -- Aspen Aergoels donates laptop to be used as a custom communication device for an ALS patient.

"Using that laptop we are working on an eye tracking system that enalbes the patient to communicate just using eye movements,"  said Dan Bacher, Founder & Executive Director.
December 2013   East Bay Coalition for the Homeless -- Aspen Aerogels donates toys and gift cards to homeless families with children. The coalition provides housing as well as support, skills, and resources for families to become self-reliant.

"These gifts will mean more to the families in our program than words can easily express," said Diane Smith, Director.   
December 2013   Rhode Island Community Foodbank -- Aspen Aerogels makes Holiday Meal Drive donation.

"Your gift enables us to provide food assistance throughout the state, ensuring that families have enough to eat," said Bruce R. Zarembka, Director of Acquisition.
November 2013   East Providence Firefighters Local 850 -- Aspen Aerogels donates to the Freaky 5K road race, which featured more than 175 racers in costumes.

"Without the help of our friends in the community, our race would not be the success it has grown to be," said Eric Linacare, Race Coordinator.
